WASHINGTON–Today, the National Archives and Records Administration announced the appointment of Alan Price as the Director of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, effective November 13, 2018.

For the past year, Mr. Price was President of Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana.  He led the expansion of partnerships between the college and local community organizations and established a new strategic vision to modernize and expand the Joseph Moore Museum (of natural history).

Prior to federal service, Mr. Price was a manager at Northeast Utilities (now Eversource Energy) and Director of the Global Leadership Initiative at Harvard Business School. Mr. Price began his career as a management consultant in the fields of dispute resolution and leadership development.

Mr. Price has a JD from Harvard Law School and an undergraduate degree from Earlham College.

David S. Ferriero, Archivist of the United States, said of the appointment, “With Mr. Price’s commitment to public service and community partnerships, he will strengthen the Kennedy Library and the National Archives both in Boston and beyond. Additionally, his education at and past Presidency of Earlham College make him a good fit for the educational mission of our Presidential Libraries.”

We are thrilled that Alan Price has been chosen to be the new director of the Kennedy Library,” said Caroline Kennedy, Honorary President of the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation. “His experience and leadership will bring new energy and vision to this important role. We look forward to working with him to build on the Library and Foundation’s efforts to make President Kennedy’s life and work accessible to new generations.”
