Description
This collection consists of one guest book from Hammersmith Farm, Newport, Rhode Island beginning on September 1961 to October 15, 2008. Attached to the first page of the guestbook is a handwritten letter from Jacqueline Kennedy to her mother, Janet Lee Auchincloss, thanking her for hosting the First Family for a presidential vacation. Notable signatures in the guest book include President Kennedy, Jacqueline, Caroline, and John Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, Indira Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, John Kerry, Allen Dulles, and Robert McNamara.
