Biographical Note
Marian C. Schlesinger, a painter and author, was formerly married to Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr., who served as Special Assistant to the President during the Kennedy administration. Although her husband had supported John F. Kennedy (JFK) during the 1960 election, Marian had been a strong supporter of Governor Adlai Stevenson.
