Armstrong, African affairs consultant and speechwriter for John F. Kennedy (1959-1961), discusses efforts to counteract racial discrimination in renting practices in order to find housing for African diplomats in Washington, D.C., her work as an African affairs advisor and speechwriter for John F. Kennedy (JFK), and JFK’s meetings with Thomas J. Mboya and Sékou Touré, among other issues.
