This file contains correspondence, memoranda, and reports between Assistant Special Counsel to the President Lee C. White, the Office of the Judge Advocate General at the Department of the Army, and various individuals regarding the court martial of United States Army private John Arthur Bennett. Of note are a report by Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy regarding presidential pardons; appeals and a petition for clemency by Mr. Bennett; and letters of support for Mr. Bennett from family and friends.
