This folder contains Walter W. Heller's correspondence with the Department of Labor. Types of material include letters, memoranda, speeches, press releases, news clippings, and charts. Correspondents include W. Willard Wirtz (Secretary of Labor), John W. Lehman (Bureau of Labor Statistics), John W. Lewis (Deputy Assistant Secretary of Labor), Esther Peterson (Assistant Secretary of Labor), Robert C. Goodwin (Bureau of Employment Security), and Arthur J. Goldberg (Secretary of Labor). The file also contains suggested material for a speech on "The Year 2000"; a report of the President's Advisory Committee on Labor-Management Policy regarding pension funds and retirement programs; information for a meeting with Reiulf Steen, a member of the Norwegian parliament (26 February 1962); and a speech by Heller on "Statistics for Economic Outlook" (29 September 1961).
