Motion picture of President John F. Kennedy visiting the U.S. Coast Guard Academy Training Barque Eagle, Washington, D.C. President Kennedy inspects the ship and makes brief remarks. See "Public Papers of the Presidents of the United States, John F. Kennedy, 1962: Item 330." Special Assistant to the President Dave Powers and Naval Aide to the President Capt. Tazewell T. Shepard accompanied him to Pier Two of the Navy Yard Annex. Admiral Roland, USCG Commandant, greeted the President.
